“I had a very uncomfortable interview once with Denzel Washington about the remake of ‘The Manchurian Candidate,'” Couric, 63, told host Pellegrino. “I think he totally misconstrued a question I asked and kind of jumped all over me and it was so uncomfortable, because he was doing it with Meryl Streep. … And I just remember leaving it and thinking, ‘God, I don’t think I said anything wrong, I think he — I don’t know what happened.’
