Nearly thirty years after starring in a film together, Julia Roberts and Denzel Washington are joining forces once again.

The Oscar winners are set to co-star in the Netflix film “Leave the World Behind,” according to Deadline.

Based on the similarly titled book by Rumaan Alam, the premise revolves around two families, who, despite being strangers, must work together when things go terribly wrong over a long weekend in the countryside.

Roberts will play the mother of a family that rents a home from Washington and his family.

The suspenseful story is said to explore “the complexities of parenthood, race, and class.”

The script is being adapted by “Mr. Robot” creator Sam Esmail, who will also direct. Esmail previously directed Roberts on the Amazon Prime series “Homecoming.”

Washington and Roberts co-starred in the 1993 legal thriller “The Pelican Brief.” Directed by Alan J. Pakula, the film was adapted from the John Grisham novel and grossed over $195 million at the worldwide box office.

While the two actors have not worked together since, they’ve remained close friends.

At the Academy Awards in 2002, Roberts presented the Best Actor category, which Washington won for his role in “Training Day.”

After opening the envelope, the “Erin Brockovich” star said, “I love my life,” before announcing Washington’s name.

While there’s no word on a premiere date for “Leave the World Behind,” the book will be released in October.
